BINÁLÉ is a sovereign and decentralized initiative. It operates in a culturally polarized and politically charged environment of Eastern Europe. For the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the union between the three historic cities of Óbuda, Buda, and Pest, BINÁLÉ has organized an outstanding collection of artworks from around the world. The digital creations combined with live events explore the idea of "queering democracy" through the power of art. We reimagine democratic norms in the age of persuasive technologies. Posthumanist ideas inspired BINÁLÉ and often non-Western codes that see intelligence, consciousness, and interdependence as not exclusively human Principles.
